Confirmed: BlackRock, Inc. held $ 6.5 million in CME Bitcoin futures contracts
  • The world’s largest asset manager, with $ 8.67 trillion in AUM BlackRock started trading with Bitcoin futures.
After the US Securities and Exchange Commission issued a monthly portfolio investment report, it is already known that investment giant BlackRock, Inc. has entered the crypto market.

Based on this report as well as information from an unnamed source which contacted Coindesk, we learned that BlackRock was trading Bitcoin futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange earlier this year.

As for the appreciation of these $ 6.5 million BTC futures contracts they were appreciated $ 360,457 on reporting day. It is therefore highly likely that this was only one initial test on the part of one of the largest asset managers in the world, which could be followed by a more significant input.
