Market insights from Santiment show a decline of trading volume in cryptocurrency markets but also a positive turnaround for the DeFi sector.
The trading volume on the entire crypto market decreased by – 23.5%, but at the same time the collective trading volume of DeFi tokens recorded a rapid increase of + 97.9%.
Santiment thinks that more and more investors are leaning towards lending protocols, decentralized exchanges and other DeFi products. If we look only at the most popular cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, LTC or BCH, we can see only a fraction of the trading volume compared with a last year.
Will this mean the beginning of the altcoin season? or just a temporary change of interest to the DeFi sector?
