- Elon Musk announced today that Tesla accepts Bitcoin and at the same time outlined the company’s crypto strategy.
What Elon Musk promised a month ago, that Tesla will start accepting Bitcoins as a form of payment for products in the near future is becoming a reality.
The CEO of Tesla, Inc., announced this today through his Twitter account.
This announcement was also supported by further information that Tesla directly operates Bitcoin nodes but also that “Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, not converted to fiat currency.”
As for the possibility of payment in BTC, so far it is only possible for US residents, but later this year it will also be available globally.
