A crypto wallet & gateway to Blockchain apps MetaMask celebrates reaching a major milestone with 1 million monthly active users.
MetaMask launched a mobile application just a month ago and is already celebrating more than one million monthly active users across desktop and mobile apps. The official blog says that since the last report, which was devoted to the number of users, MetaMask has grown by more than 400% to date.
In the chart below you can see that in December last year, monthly active users were at the level of 250,000.
MM acknowledges that one of the main factors that supported the increase in interest is the launch of the mobile application, which took place on the third of September. This was also helped due to the significant growth in the adoption of DAO, Web3 games and the use of DeFi products and services.
MetaMask has published four countries with the highest usage of the mobile application:
- USA
- India
- Nigeria
- Philippines
Head of Marketing, Talia Knowles-Rivas also thinks that people don’t really want a wallet but want to invest more, sell, borrow and use sites like Uniswap, Yearn and Curve to complete their work where MetaMask works as a connector.
