Danny Ryan, ETH 2.0 coordinator, informs on his twitter about the progress of the Medalla testnet for Ethereum 2.0 and calls for involvement.
As we have already informed you in the recent article the Final testnet for Ethereum 2.0 is scheduled for August 4th and stakeholder recruitment is currently underway. According to the latest information, 213,888 ETH ($ 68,651,195) is currently deposited and 9700 validators left until the genesis block is formed.
To start testing, which has a preliminary date of August 4, 2020, 3:00 pm, it is necessary to deposit 524,288 ETH and if this fails, the testnet will have to be postponed.
