The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) will allow investors to trade futures contracts of the second most popular cryptocurrency.
The largest futures contracts exchange, CME in the world has fulfilled its promise and brings trading in Ether futures. The ETH community has been waiting for this moment since December, when this ETH futures listed plan was announced at CME.
The CME Group informed about it today on its Twitter account where it stated that trading will start tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Among other things, we learn on the website that companies providing liquidity for ETH futures include well-known companies such as Galaxy, CoinShares and even NYDIG.
For specific contracts, each monthly contract contains 50 ETHs, which in current terms is almost $ 80K. Investors must also take into account the minimum trade size, which is set at 5 contracts.
Ethereum is currently trading around $ 1,600.
