The press release of the Banque de France announces the progress of the central bank’s experimentation in process of evolution digital currency. As we have already informed you in our article on April 1, French bank released a call for applications package called “CENTRAL BANK DIGITAL CURRENCY EXPERIMENTS WITH THE BANQUE DE FRANCE”
On May 14, the team completed developing your own blockchain and yesterday was successfully tested, so it is currently ready for further testing of the central bank’s digital currency in order to pay for the issuance of digital financial securities.
The bank aims to explore the potential benefits of new technologies, and the consequent improvement of the functioning of financial markets through digital currency.
In the near future, the Banque de France has further experiments ahead of it to test the use of the central bank’s digital euro in interbank regulations. Subsequently, the results of these experiments will be an important addition to the global reflection in the interest of the MDBC, led by the Eurosystem.
